Imphal: All the accused in the Imphal Airport drug haul case, including MLA of Wangkhei Assembly Constituency O Henry appeared before the Special Court, Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substance today.
The other accused are Sapam ( Angus @ Naoba, Md Rajauddin, Luwangthem Tarpon and two non-locals namely Ramveer Tyagi and Rajneesh Kumar both from Ghaziabad.
Charge consideration against Tarpon who was newly indicted as one of the accused in the case was held today in the presence of his counsel.
After hearing all the submissions of CBI and defense counsels, the Court fixed May 22 for passing order of charge hearing of the infamous case.
It may be mentioned that CBI Special Branch Kolkata had filed a charge sheet against the five accused on April 18 of last year bearing number 6 of 2016 by DSP of CBI BB Chakarvarty for the offence punishable under Section 21/25 (A)/29/32 of ND & PS Act and under Section 120 (B)/420/ 468/471 and 506 of IPC.
