Cial plans to take property on lease

The Cochin International Airport Ltd (Cial) is planning to take property on lease for a period of three years to accommodate Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials working at Cial.
The Cial on Sunday invited a tender inviting expression of interest (EOI) from people who have accommodation facilities within a 3-km radius from Terminal 1.
Earlier this year, the home ministry had sanctioned an additional 360 CISF officers at the airport. This is apart from the 484 CISF officials posted at Cial.
The airport authorities had arranged their stay at a rented facility in the airport vicinity. When the first batch of 150 officers of the sanctioned 360 arrived at Cial, their stay was adjusted along with the 484. The remaining 210 are expected to reach Kochi by month-end.
