NCP leader and former civil aviation minister Praful Patel under the UPA dispensation was lauded by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for his excellent work in transforming the Indian airports infrastructure. At the release function of the pictorial biopic Udaan – a graphic glimpse into the life of Praful Patel, Fadnavis appreciated Patel for his outstanding work. Rising above the political differences, he went on to say that,”We are staunch political rivals and have made speeches against each other in elections at Gondia in Vidarbha. Yet, political differences have never transcended the personal rapport (between us),” The Indian Express quoted him as saying.
He further said,“Notwithstanding political differences, Patel has friends across political parties, which he has well earned over decades. The ease with which he connects with cross sections of people is laudable. He has always kept his feet firmly in the grassroots.”
