Get flyers to airports 2 hours before flight: CISF to airlines

New Delhi: The CISF has asked airlines to request domestic flyers to reach airports, especially those in the metros, two hours before flight departure time due to massive rush expected this summer. Check-in for domestic flights closes 45 minutes before departure and most flyers currently reach an hour in advance.
The security agency has also told airlines to enforce the one handbag rule (in addition to a laptop bag or a ladies handbag) to cut down waiting time at security check areas. The peak holiday travel rush will begin from Saturday and airlines are warning of long queues at security and immigration checks.
