Air taxi services connecting key business and tourist destinations in Madhya Pradesh is still a distant dream.
Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation had on November 26, 2016 announced to re-launch air tax services by Prabhatam Aviation. As per contract, the aviation company was to start its operation before March 26, 2017. Following delay in commencing services, the company was given one month extension up to April 26, 2017.
After Ventura Air Connect stopped operation in 2014, MPSTDC made repeated attempts to resume taxi service but in vain. In October 2016 it again invited bids from air operators to start taxi operation in state and on November 26, 2016 Prabhatam Aviation was awarded the contract with a condition of resuming the service before March 26, 2017.
