President forwards GAF memo on Greenfield Airport

Itanagar: President of India Pranab Mukherjee has forwarded the memorandum submitted by the Green Arunachal Foundation (GAF) to the offices of the Prime Minister and the Chief Secretary for further action regarding the Greenfield Airport and other issues.
Through the representation, the GAF pleaded to the President to intervene and take necessary steps for early construction of the proposed Greenfield Airport in Itanagar; solve the issue of staple visa with China; bring an amicable solution to the boundary problem with neighbouring Assam and for establishment of Arunachal Pradesh Regiment.
“It is first of its kind that the President of India responded positively to a representation put forth by a state based NGO. He has endorsed the representation put forth thereof and has forwarded letters to the office of the Prime Minister of India and the Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh to look into the matters”, said GAF Chairman Takam Tatung.
