Air India’s flight AI 433 resumes on Gaya-Delhi route

Gaya: Air India's flight (AI 433), which was rescheduled to facilitate the renovation of the Varanasi airport in March, will resume on the Gaya-Delhi route from Thursday.
"AI 433 will land at Gaya at 1.40pm in the afternoon and take off for Delhi via Varanasi 40 minutes later (2.20pm) from Thursday," Gaya airport director Dilip Kumar said on Wednesday.
The daily flight on the Gaya-Delhi route was reduced to four days a week and its timing changed from afternoon to morning. On behalf of regular flyers from Gaya, former civil aviation minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain had tried to prevent the rescheduling of the flight, but the airlines implemented the four-day-a-week schedule.
Meanwhile, Air India's flight on the Gaya-Kolkata route has been withdrawn for reasons best known to the airline officials. The Myanmar Airways has also dropped its plan to operate a weekly flight on the Yangon-Gaya route from June 1 this year. The tourist season in Bodh Gaya begins in October.
