Popular singer Zubeen gets bail in airport security case

Guwahati: A local court on Thursday granted bail to popular singer Zubeen Garg who was accused of violating security norms at the Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA) last year.
The incident took place in March, 2016 when Zubeen, along with a friend, was on his way to board a flight to Kolkata. The singer and his friend had allegedly confronted Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on duty when they were asked to remove their shoes for frisking at the airport.
Later, security personnel lodged a complaint against Zubeen in Azara Police Station, accusing him of violating security norms at the airport and misbehaving with security personnel. Police subsequently investigated the case and filed the final report.
