Teacher duped of Rs 90,000

Rajkot:  A woman teacher has been duped of Rs 89,140 by conmen who gave her false promise of a job in Jet Airways and siphoned off the money.
Accornding to Rajkot Taluka police station officials, where the complaint has been registered in this regard, the teacher had come across with an advertisement about a job in Jet Airways on a website and had applied for the job in July last year. After this, she received a call from one Samar Shrivastava who asked her to first pay Rs 2,500 as a job consultancy fee and later told her to pay a total of Rs 86,640 in three different instalments in three different accounts .
"After this, Shrivastava told her that she would get the job by September 5. When she did not get the job, Shrivastava said that she would definitely get it by November 11. However, when she did not get the job and Shrivastava remained incommunicado, she lodged the police complaint," said a taluka police station official.
