New Delhi: A man was today apprehended at the the Indira Gandhi International airport (IGIA) here for allegedly carrying a bullet in his baggage, a senior official said.
A CISF officer, deputed at the airport to scan passenger’s baggage, detected a bullet-like object on the x- ray monitor around 4:30 am, said the official deployed at the airport security.
A live round of .8mm calibre was recovered from the bag of a passenger identified as S Mathur, he said.
Mathur was to take a flight to Indore.
Carrying arms and ammunition is banned inside the airport and aircraft.
