SpiceJet flags off two daily flights on Regional Connectivity Scheme routes

Country’s second largest low-cost carrier SpiceJet today flagged off direct flights on the Mumbai-Porbandar-Mumbai and Mumbai-Kandla-Mumbai routes.  The two flights became operational from today. The flag-off ceremony was held at the Porbandar airport, the airline said.  The first flight (SG 2874) left the Porbandar airport at 1105 hrs.  SpiceJet was awarded six proposals and 11 routes under the first phase of Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS). Out of the six proposals, four will cater to unserved markets of Adampur, Kandla, Puducherry and Jaisalmer and two will be for under-served markets of Porbandar and Kanpur.
Avendus Capital appoints Sameer Kamath as Group CFO  Avendus Capital today said it has appointed Sameer Kamath as the Group Chief Financial officer. Kamath, who will report to Ranu Vohra, Managing Director and CEO, will be responsible for financial management and reporting, risk and compliance, taxation and legal and secretarial functions, it said in a statement.
