1.5 kg gold seized from three passengers at RGIA

About 1.5 kilos of smuggled gold was seized from three passengers at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) near here in the wee hours of today.
Based on profiling by the Customs Officers of the Air Intelligence unit at the Airport, four gold chains and six gold kadas of 24 carat weighting 1506 grams and valued at Rs 45.01 lakh were seized from three air passengers arrived from Kuala Lumpur to Hyderabad by Air Asia Airlines and Air India flights respectively.
All the three passengers concealed the gold on body, according to customs officials here.
