Mumbai: The Air Intelligence Unit of Mumbai Customs has arrested four gold smugglers including a Singaporean couple with 2,400 grams of gold jewellery worth over Rs. 66 lakh.
The Singaporean couple is identified as Vickneswaran and his wife Kelly Anne Gnanamuthuammal Louis.
“They were arrested based on their profiling. A search resulted in recovery of gold ornaments weighing 2400 grams valued at Rs. 66.19 lakh,” said deputy commissioner of AIU Prashant Kumar.
