Ajmer Bypoll: Airport to give BJP fillip

The BJP is trying to cash in on the new airport in Kishangarh in the wake of upcoming Lok Sabha by-poll in Ajmer.

Preparations are in full swing both at the state secretariat in Jaipur and at local administration level as the airport is likely to begin flight operations from 25th of this month.

This is considered a big political development in context of the Ajmer Lok Sabha by-poll. Winning the election is the top priority of Raje government and before election date is announced, the government is keen to inaugurate the airport to get the political mileage.

Apart from this, Union minister of state for aviation, Jayant Sinha’s proposed meeting with chief minister Vasundhara Raje tomorrow may also feature Jodhpur airport and intrastate air services. CM is keen to develop the state as major civil aviation hub and interconnect cities with air services for the growth of tourism.
