Pune: Dubai resident Maya Ramchandani, who landed in Pune in the early hours of Sunday, got the shock of her life. A high-end smartphone worth Rs 65,0000 and an expensive bottle of perfume had mysteriously disappeared from her checked-in luggage.
Ramchandanilanded in Pune at 1am on Sunday, on Spice Jet flight (SG-52). She collected her luggage from the belt and proceeded to a hotel in the city, where she was to stay for a few hours before proceeding to Bhopal. She discovered the items (which were gifts) missing when she opened her bag in her room.
"She put both the items in the check-in baggage without opening them] in Dubai," her nephew Ram Prakash Pandey told TOI over the phone from Dubai.
