Rajasthan: Kishangarh to get its airport

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, and Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha, will inaugurate the airport which was proposed by Raje in 2007.
Kishangarh is a big market of marble where different types of marble and granite are brought, processed and sold.
RK Marbles, World's largest producer of marble is based here.
The airport will also enable an air connectivity to devotees visiting Sufi shrine at Ajmer, Pushkar lake. and Brahma Temple in Pushkar which is half an hour drive from Kishangarh.
Raje's focus on aviation has led to air connectivity to Jaisalmer on October 4, and to Bikaner on September 26, after Kota got connected in August.
Kishangarh airport has a carrying capacity of 150 passengers with six check-in counters. It will be connected through a four-lane road to National Highway 8.
Rajasthan government is subsidising intrastate travel and Supreme Airlines is the main agency providing the air service.
