Woman creates ruckus at IGI Airport

New Delhi: A woman created a ruckus at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport after she was stopped by an immigration official while trying to exit immigration area without completing the required procedures.

The woman, identified as Mona Duggal, arrived at Terminal 3 from Moscow on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. She allegedly also manhandled a woman immigration officer. “One woman passenger, identified as Mona Duggal, arrived by flight (SU-234) from Moscow. While checking at exit gate, the immigration staff found that arrival immigration stamp on her passport was missing. When she was asked to complete the procedures, she got into a verbal fight,” an airport official said.

“The woman said that she did not need to go through immigration process and used abusive language without any provocation. She also threatened official of dire consequences,” added the official.

A senior woman immigration officials was called to pacify her, but she was not in a mood to cooperate and started shouting at the officer. Moreover, she physically assaulted her and also abused others.
