Airline job cheats in net

Dum Dum: Police have arrested four men and a woman on the charge of cheating a person by promising a job for his daughter-in-law against payment.

Surendra Kumar Mishra, who lives in Kamarhati, said in his complaint with NSCBI Airport police station that Mita Kundu, 31, of Lake Town, and Dhyanish Chatterjee, 43, of Parnasree, had posed as representatives of a placement company for airlines.

He had apparently paid them Rs 1,000 as registration fees to help his daughter-in-law get a job in a low-cost domestic carrier, an officer of the Bidhannagar commissionerate said.

They had called Mishra near the new terminal's Gate No. 3C on Wednesday morning, the officer said. "When he met them, they demanded Rs 25,000. Mishra got suspicious and alerted a police patrol nearby. The cops took all of them to the police station."
