British flyer molested at Mumbai airport

Mumbai: Police arrested a Dongri resident for molesting a female British national in the prayer room in the T2 Level 4 departure lounge of the CSI airport on Wednesday. Mohsim Shaikh (23), reportedly a GVK employee, was caught by CISF officials after the victim ran out of the room screaming for help. The terrified flyer told the police that the accused, on the pretext of helping her with a wi-fi connection, repeatedly tried to molest her in the room.

"The incident occurred around 6.40am on November 22, when GVK employee Shaikh took the victim to the prayer room located on level 4 T2 departure and molested her. Our team responded immediately and called the police and handed him over for further investigation," a CISF spokesperson told TOI. GVK officials maintained that Mohsim Shaikh is not their employee.
The entire episode lasted almost more than an hour before the UK national was able to board her flight. The CISF official said the incident occurred when the victim landed at Mumbai airport and was in transit before she flew to Colombo. "Shaikh was arrested after the complainant's statement was recorded inside T2 before she flew on. The flyer was initially reluctant to go to the Sahar police to lodge a complaint," said a police officer of the Sahar police station.
