IndiGo offloads 4 Kashmiri youths

Patna: IndiGo airlines offloaded one mentally disturbed Kashmiri youth along with three of his co-passengers from a Patna- Delhi flight (6E-6325) on Thursday evening after some passengers complained about their erratic behaviour.
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) after ascertaining their background. CISF officials confirmed the incident. CISF sources said the mentally disturbed youth, Mukhtar Ahmed Gani (21), had come to Patna to participate in the national integration camp of NCC hosted by 11, Bihar Battalion. The camp, which began on November 8, is scheduled to conclude on November 18.
Sources said the battalion's commanding officer found Mukhtar's behaviour erratic and declared him unfit for the camp on November 14. Mukhtar's elder brother Javed Ahmed Gani was immediately contacted in Jammu and asked to take him back. Later, Javed arrived with his two friends, Md Munib Wali and Haroon Rashid, who study in Punjab University, to take Mukhtar back.
Airlines sources said some passengers complained to the flight crew about suspicious activity of the youth, including that of Mukhtar, who was insisting on sitting in the cockpit. "The four youths were offloaded on the complaints of some passengers. One of the youths was mentally depressed. We released them after preliminary screening and their ticket fair was refunded by IndiGo. We also sent the youths back to the NCC training camp," said a CISF official.
