Fog causes plane diversion to B’luru

Panaji: Poor visibility at Goa International Airport in the wee hours of Saturday due to foggy conditions led to the diversion of one passenger flight and delayed at least four flights that were scheduled to land or take-off from Goa International Airport, Dabolim.
An Air India flight AI 976 from Kuwait to Goa was diverted to Bengaluru after airport officials closed the runway for a short duration due to poor visibility.
Senior officials at Goa International Airport said that flight operations resumed immediately at 7am when visibility improved.
