Scheduled flight departures reduced from 34 to 27 at Patna airport

As per the Hindustan Times report, Indigo withdrew four flights and Goair two, reducing the number of daily scheduled departures from 34 to 27 at Patna beginning Friday. With the reduction in flights Patnaites’ options to fly to Delhi, Kolkata, Goa and Ranchi was curtailed in the revised winter schedule beginning Friday. Indigo withdrew two morning flights (6E-612 and 6E-6367) to the national capital, one (6E-634) to Kolkata and Goa (6E-634) and another (6E-339) to Lucknow and Mumbai. It also altered the departure timing of its 6E-902 Patna-bangalore flight from 11.35 am to 6.15 pm. 

The Indigo will also resume from Friday its Patna-Lucknow-Delhi flight (6E-633), which was suspended for the last 25 days and odd due to operational reasons, said airport sources. With the reduction in Indigo flights, its scheduled departures had reduced from 14 to 10 daily from the Jay Prakash Narayan International (JPNI) airport here. The flights will remain withdrawn till February 15, 2018.

Against six direct departures between Patna and Delhi, Indigo will now have four. It will now have two Patna-Kolkata flights instead of three earlier, while those to Ranchi (2), Lucknow and Bengaluru (1 each) will remain constant. Goair had withdrawn two flights. Among those suspended were the evening flights – G8-218 to Delhi and G8-584 to Mumbai, said airport sources.
