Shubha Mudgal tweets against airline's all economy flight

Mumbai: Vocalist Shubha Mudgal tweeted against national carrier Air India on Saturday for allegedly not honoring the tickets issued to its business class domestic passengers.
"@airindian What's going on? You sell business class tickets. Turn the flight into an Economy flight. Don't inform passengers. No refund. Refer AI 663," the classical singer tweeted.
The said flight is a Mumbai-Goa flight, which departs at 1.30 pm. The said flight is on time today. It's likely that the singer must have referred to a flight operated earlier this week. Mudgal was not available for comment.

Air India reponded to her tweet around 12.30 pm with an apology. The airline in it's response tweet said that they had to sometimes change aircraft because of operational reasons a d sought her ticket details for a refund.
Commenting to the media, an Air India spokesperson said: "Usually staff at the check in inform a business class passenger about change to an all economy aircraft. They also give a refund. We also checking why it was not informed to her (Mudgal) in Mumbai. Also we do send prior message on available mobile regarding change of aircraft."
