Air Odisha set to expand wings in Gujarat, to connect several towns

Surat: Bhubaneshwar-headquartered air charter venture, Air Odisha, is planning to spread wings in Gujarat.
On Friday, Air Odisha announced the commencement of Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar-Surat-Ahmedabad flight services from January 23. In its letter to the ministry of civil aviation, Air Odisha stated that it will be starting flight operations within Gujarat under central government's Ude Desh Ka Har Nagrik (UDAN), the regionanl air connectivity scheme, with Ahmedabad airport as its centralized base for the region.
The company will be operating its flight services connecting Ahmedabad with Bhavnagar, Surat, Mundra, Jamnagar, Mithapur (Dwarka) and Diu. All these destinations will have return direct flights to and from Ahmedabad. With this, Surat will have additional flights to Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Jamnagar.
