Operations at Delhi airport suspended after visibility drops

New Delhi: Operations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport were on Monday morning suspended after visibility dropped below 50 metres, reported news agency ANI.
Dense fog delayed five domestic and seven international flights. One flight was cancelled.
This comes a day after the city experienced the season's worst fog, that affected almost 220 flights to and from Delhi.
Over 150 flights were delayed and nearly 50 diverted on Sunday, reported news agency PTI. Additionally, around 20 flights were cancelled due to low visibility on the runway.
No flights could take off from Delhi for nearly four hours between 7.30am and 11.05am, according to an airport official.
