Pune: Airports Authority of India (AAI) chairman Guruprasad Mohapatra on Friday said the design for the new terminal building of Lohegaon airport had been approved and its construction was expected to start from April.
Speaking to TOI on the sidelines of the AAI's western region meet in the city, he said the design of the terminal building was impressive and would connect the existing terminal building of the facility. "We are aiming that the new building is ready within two-and-a-half years," Mohapatra said.
The land AAI got from the ministry of defence would be used to create an integrated cargo terminal.
