New Delhi: An 18-year-old Delhi youth was caught at Imphal Airport on Sunday while trying to smuggle three gold bars weighing 500 grammes in a body cavity on to a flight, a CISF official said.
Mohit Kishan was held during pre embarkation security check for a Delhi-bound Indigo flight at around 9 p.m.
"We noticed presence of metal in a body cavity of the passenger.
He was taken to a separate place for thorough checking. On enquiry, he revealed he was carrying gold concealed inside his rectum," said Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Assistant Inspector General Hemendra Singh.
