Indore: Low fare direct flight to Goa, Bengaluru from next month

Indore: The air passengers of city and the region will get low fare direct flights to Goa and Bengaluru from next month. Malaysian low-cost airline ‘Air Asia India’ is going to roll out its flight operation for these two destinations from next month. Significantly, Bengaluru flight will also facilitate connectivity to international flights from capital city of Karnataka.

Air Asia (India) Limited is a joint venture between Tata Sons Limited & Air Asia Investment Limited, which started its flight operation in the country from 2013. The airline currently operates flights from its current base in Bengaluru and Delhi to Chandigarh, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Kochi, Pune and Visakhapatnam. Very recently it started the international flight operation from Jaipur.

Aviation sources informed that under the flight operation expansion drive, the airline is going to start its flight operation from the city next summer. In the first phase Air Asia is going to start direct flight for two hot destinations Bengaluru and Goa.

The airlines have received the necessary approvals from the Airport Authority of India (AAI) and local airport administration. Sources claimed that though the airlines have chalked-out a tentative flights operation schedule, for some changes in the eleventh hour, thus it has not been officially released.
