Mumbai airport to remain shut for 6 hours on April 9, 10

Mumbai: Mumbai airport will be closed for flight operations for six hours in the afternoon on April 9, 10 and then on October 23 for planned pre-monsoon and post monsoon preventive maintenance work.
Work will be carried out on the intersection of cross runways ( 09/27 and 14/32) on 9 and 10 April 2018 between 11 am and 5 pm. Passengers booked on flights scheduled to depart on these days can expect a message from airlines concerned stating that the flight has been rescheduled to another time.

"The maintenance work has to be carried out before the onset of monsoon season. Therefore slots (landing and take off timings) will not be available during this period. All affected airlines are advised to cancel or reschedule their flights during the closure period on 9 and 10 April 2018," said a note sent by the airport to airlines. Related Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) will be taken accordingly.
