‘More facilities for woman travelers at Srinagar Airport’

As a part of Airports Authority of India’s commitment to improve comfort for women air travelers’ sanitary napkin vending machines have been installed at Srinagar International Airport.
As per the statement four machines are installed in ladies restrooms of Srinagar Airport Terminal building in first phase. This facility is available by dispensing machines by inserting the coin Rs. 5 per napkin. This money will be utilised to maintain the napkin stocks in the machines.
“The availability of sanitary napkins at affordable prices inside the airport terminal buildings will ensure comfort to women passengers and promote hygienic practices,” it said.
Sharad KumarAirport Director, Srinagar airport informed that this initiative is in line with Airports Authority of India’s project DISHA (Driving Improvement in Service and Hospitality at Airports) which aims at improving customer service.
Meanwhile a tree plantation drive was organized by Airports Authority of India and SpiceJet Airlines at Srinagar Airport to celebrate the World Earth Day on 22nd April 2018. The programme was flagged off by Sharad Kumar,Airport Director.
