Air India flight hits snag, makes emergency landing at Mumbai airport

New Delhi: An Air India Goa-Mumbai flight made an emergency landing at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport on Monday due to a hydraulic failure.
Full emergency was declared in flight 662 at 8.36pm and the plane landed safely at 9.18pm with 143 passengers on board. The aircraft stayed put on the main runway of the Mumbai airport after landing.
Everyone on board the flight was safe and no injuries were reported.
The primary runway resumed operations at 9.40pm. Flight operations had been moved to the secondary runway while the main one remained non-operational.
Mumbai Airport is the second busiest in the country, handling over 980 aircraft a day.
