A Russian man was apprehended today at IGI Airport in New Delhi after an Indian woman claimed that he was sitting next to her on a Turkish airlines flight and masturbating in front of her.
CISF personnel guarding the airport reached flight TK-716 - which was flying from Istanbul to Delhi - as soon as it landed and were informed that the Indian woman had, in the meantime, made a distress call to the Delhi Police alleging sexual harassment by a co-passenger.
On enquiry it was learnt that the man, Krishna Ridzhal, had opened his trousers and started masturbating next to her. The woman complained to the airlines crew and he was shifted to another seat.
The man was later handed over to Delhi Police, who had also reached the Terminal-III area of the airport. He has been booked under Section 509 (words, gestures or acts intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC, police said.
