Mangaluru: While there’s a distinct lack of response for the disinvestment of Air India, soon passengers may also exhibit similar kind
of attitude if the national carrier does not pull up its socks. A case in point is Air India’s decision to suspend operations between Mangaluru and Mumbai for an unprecedented 81 days, starting July 12 to September 30 -ostensibly to facilitate Haj operations.
Passengers who booked in advance for cheaper fares are now bearing the brunt of either rescheduling, cancelling their itinerary or continue with the same schedule paying higher fares by booking on other carriers.
