Army chopper carrying two Union ministers makes emergency landing at Trishul airbase in Bareilly

Bareilly: A twin engine military helicopter carrying Union minister of state for textiles Ajay Tamta and Union minister of state for road transport and highways Mansukh Mandaviya made an emergency landing at the Trishul airbase in Bareilly due to insufficient fuel on Friday.
The chopper had taken off from Delhi around 11.30 am with both ministers on board.
ADM Verma said, "We received a call from the Trishul airbase around 12.30 pm. Bareilly city magistrate GP Singh and I went there to receive the two ministers. One barrel of aviation turbine fuel was filled into the chopper at the airbase."
"Soon after the helicopter was refueled, it took off for Pantnagar with both the legislators. Minister Tamta's Delhi office informed us that he reached Dharchula on Friday evening and is likely to spend the night there along with Mandaviya," said Singh.
