Coimbatore : The department in charge of acquiring land for expansion of the Coimbatore airport is set to speed up the land acquisition process.
Almost 90% of the land owners have agreed to give up their land. The land commission department will start the registration process once it gets
the funds.
The land commission department has also agreed to consider the demands of the opposing land owners.
Last week, commissioner of land acquisition V K Jeyakodi did a spot inspection of the lands set to be acquired. After the inspection, he ordered officials to speed up the process of acquisition.
