Crash victim’s husband seeks probe

Mumbai:  The family of the pilot who died in the recent Ghatkopar crash has demanded police file an FIR and investigate the role of the aircraft owner, the repair organisation that worked on the aircraft, the civil aviation regulatory authority officials and those of the Airports Authority of India and civic corporation.
On June 28, a King Air C-90 aircraft on test run crashed into an under-construction building and killed all the four on board, besides one person on ground. At a press conference on Tuesday, Prabhat Kathuria, husband of Capt Marya Zuberi who died in the crash, said he had sent a complaint letter to the senior inspector of Ghatkopar station seeking a detailed investigation into the possible involvement of various agencies in the crash. He said that on the day of the crash, his wife had left the house telling him the test flight might be postponed due to poor weather conditions.
