Thiruvananthapuram: With Indigo 6E 359 Thiruvananthapuram-Delhi flight to begin operation from the domestic terminal of Trivandrum international airport on Tuesday, the terminal will begin functioning 24x7. The flight, which was earlier operated from international terminal of the airport, is being shifted to domestic terminal.
According to airport director George G Tharakan, with the round-the-clock functioning of domestic terminal, more flights can be operated from terminal 1, under ‘Udan’, a regional connectivity scheme. In addition to the current security arrangements, around 150 CISF officers will be deployed at the domestic terminal. Additional security counters will
be arranged. Five self-service check-in counters and more food and beverages counters have been arranged.
