GoAir may lease out A320neos due to pilot shortage

India's GoAir is mulling the lease out of some of its A320neos due to the lack of available pilots at the time of the aircraft's delivery. The A320neos are likely to be derived from the future fleet.
Airlines in India are forecast to need 800 pilots in the next 12 months, but will face a shortfall of 250. As a result, GoAir may be forced to hire more expatriate pilots, thus inflating its operating costs.
The Wadia group-owned airline currently operates a fleet of 35 aircraft and has 475 pilots.
