New Delhi: Airlines are looking to raise their revenue in an increasingly competitive market despite the massive increase in demand. This has made them explore a number of features, including charging for seat preference. In its pre-booking option, Budget carrier GoAir is offering seats of your choice with a payment starting at Rs 200. The Mumbai-based carrier on its official website, goair.in, says, "We offer you the chance to pre-book any seat of your choice. Be it window seats, aisle seats or even seats with extra leg room, take your pick at a nominal cost."
If you want to opt seats in the row from 14 to 25, you have to pay an extra amount of Rs 200 each for window and aisle seats, but for middle seat you need not pay any extra charges. Similarly, for seats in the row from 26 to 28, flyers need to pay Rs 200 each for window and aisle seats, but no charges for middle seats.
However, there is would be no charges for pre-booking the seats in the 29 & 30th row.
If you want to pre-book your seat in 3,12 and 13 row, you have to pay Rs 600 extra for window, aisle and middle seats separately. The highest amount passengers have to spare if they wish to have seats in 12 and 13 row. The extra charges they have to spare is Rs 800 for each seat.
