Jodhpur: A judge of the Rajasthan High Court had a bitter taste of ill-connected and ill-equipped Jodhpur civil airport when he had to wait at Delhi airport for an hour due to non-clearance to his flight from Jodhpur. Justice Sangeet Lodha expressed his displeasure during the hearing of a PIL pertaining to expansion and connectivity of Jodhpur airport and summoned higher authorities of the airport on Friday.
Justice Lodha had boarded a flight for Jodhpur from Delhi on Thursday. But this flight had to wait for an hour at Delhi airport for want of clearance from Jodhpur airport authorities on account of unavailability of place for parking.
“How poor arrangements are. I had to come to Jodhpur from Delhi but since there was no clearance from Jodhpur airport, my flight had to wait for one hour. There was no improvement despite assurances,” justice Lodha said in an oral comment.
