IndiGo launches 24 new flights, adds 4 new routes

New Delhi: India's biggest airline IndiGo has launched 24 new flights and has added four new routes on its network, the airline said in a release. Now, IndiGo flights will be available on routes like Ahmedabad-Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad-Varanasi, Hyderabad-Patna and Kolkata-Surat. Flights on the new routes will be operational from September 1, 2018. Customers can book flight tickets on the new routes on the airlines website goindigo.in.Meanwhile, out of the 24 new flights, three will run on Agartala-Guwahati, Hyderabad-Guwahati, and Kolkata-Nagpur on a daily basis while third daily flight has been introduced on Ahmedbad-Kolkata, Ahmedabad-Jaipur and Hyderabad-Raipur routes. The carrier has also announced fourth flight between Hyderabad and Bhubaneshwar and fifth flight between Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, according to the release.
The budget carrier last month reported 97 per cent decline in its profit for the April to June quarter at Rs 27.9 crore compared to Rs 811.4 crore in the year-ago quarter. The decline in its profit was due to 53 per cent rise in fuel cost and foreign exchange loss to the tune of Rs 250 crore, the company said.
