IndiGo to begin operations on August 16 from Surat

Surat: Indigo plans to connect more domestic and international destinations in the second phase of its operations from Surat after the launch of flights to Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Goa and Jaipur from here on August 16.
Willy Boulter, chief commercial officer, told TOI, “We are coming with a big bang from August 16 when six destinations will be connected with Surat. The seventh destination will be connected with the city from September 1. Flyers from Surat will be able to travel seamlessly on single PNR to 23 destinations across the country and even abroad.”
After Air India, SpiceJet and AirAsia, Indigo will be the fourth airline operator to connect Diamond City with important destinations in the country. The daily landing and take-offs of aircraft at Surat airport will increase from 40 to 52 after August 16
