Vijayawada: The domestic air cargo service, running since August 1 at the Vijayawada airport, has received a promising response from the local trading community that waited for such a service for years.
The Common User Domestic Cargo Terminal located close to the old terminal is handling about six tonnes on an average everyday via the belly cargo space offered by airlines to several destinations in the country.
Formally inaugurated more than a month ago, the terminal, run by Shreepa Logistics Pvt. Ltd., has started operations this month.
