Mihan issue partly resolved

Nagpur:  This may be a small step towards removing the bottleneck which had stuck up Mihan since its inception over a decade ago. Even as the special economic zone (SEZ) is ready with a few investors having checked in, the original idea of building a multimodal international air hub at Nagpur - (Mihan) remains only on paper.
The state government owned agency Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) still does not hold a chunk of land proposed for this project. There are apprehensions that the delay may only kill Mihan's USP.
As the matter involves the ministries of defence as well as civil aviation, the latter has now agreed to relinquish its claim on a part of the land which was eyed for Mihan.
