Airlines to share lounge space at Mumbai airport's new terminal

Mumbai: Air India, British Airways, Emirates and Lufthansa are set to lose their exclusive lounges with the Mumbai International Airport Ltd planning to have a common facility for all the airlines in the upcoming international terminal.
The new integrated terminal called T2 will open for passengers later this year.
Airport lounges offer business travellers and privilege customers exclusivity and comfort and airlines with a strong focus on premium traffic invest in developing lounges at their hubs and key airports around the world.
A few weeks ago airport executives informed the airlines about the plan to develop a common lounge and the affected airlines are resisting the move.
