Navi Mumbai: More than three weeks after 146 endangered tortoises were rescued from a Nepalese flyer at the international airport, 131 of them are set to return to Madagascar on Monday. Fifteen of the tortoises died.
Director of Wildlife Crime Control Bureau M Maranko said the process to send the tortoises back was over. An Interpol alert to file a case against the flyer, Lal Babu Thakur (32), was issued.
