AirAsia India, celebrated its inaugural flights to Guwahati and Hyderabad from Bengaluru and to Goa from Hyderabad with host of celebrations across the newly launched sectors.
At Guwahati, departure guests for the inaugural flight witnessed a traditional lamp lighting & ribbon cutting ceremony which was facilitated by Assam Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and several other key personalities from the Guwahati Airport. Ankur Khanna, Chief Financial Officer, AirAsia India felicitated the dignitaries who were a part of the celebrations in Guwahati. On touchdown at Guwahati, the aircraft received a water canon salute to mark the landing of AirAsia India’s first flight connecting Bengaluru and Guwahati. Guests arriving into Guwahati from Bengaluru were also welcomed with a Bihu dance performance.
