Mangaluru: Visskan Aviation employees' strike continues, demand sacking of manager

The silent strike by the employees of Visskan Aviation with the demands to reappoint the expelled employees and to sack their manager, who is allegedly involved in harassing the employees, has stepped into the third day.
Speaking to Daijiworld Media on Sunday October 16, one of the employees Ashwith who is also part of the protest said, “From almost a year now, we have been harassed by the higher officials without any valid reasons. The prime reason for harassment is that we have objected the smuggling carried out by the higher officials including the lady security officer from Jet airways and Visskan Mangaluru airport operations manager Anuraj, supervisors Prakash, Prakash VP, and Avinash.”
“Three employees Dinesh, Yadav and Krishna who objected to this and tried to form a union against them. These three were dismissed from their jobs. One more employee named Rakshith who entered the flight to clean the washroom too has been suspended and now they are not giving the entry passes for them at the airport.”
