To promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life, Air India is observing Vigilance Awareness Week from 31 October to 5 November.
According to Central Vigilance Commission, the theme for this year is ‘Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption’. As part of the week, employees took vigilance awareness pledge at the Air India office here on Monday.
The pledge was administered by Regional Director (South), R Harihar. The goal of the campaign is to improve systems and procedures, which will help in eliminating corruption.
Air India is also organising street plays in airport and Air India colony during the week. There are also plans to organise plays at malls in Chennai.
The week will emphasise the need to inculcate the determination to fight corruption and to promote probity in public life. The awareness week will also have essay competition for the selected schools and college students.
