Central team inspects ALGs at Pasighat & Aalo

An official team of Airport Authority of India (AAI) and Indian Air Force (IAF) along with Director, Civil Aviation R. Ronya, East Siang Deputy Commissioner In-charge Bani Lego, Group Captain (Rtd) Mohonto Panging and officials from district administration on Tuesday inspected feasibilities of Civil Terminal at the Pasighat ALG to operationalize commercial flights in future.
DCA Ronya held a detail discussion which was participated by the DC Bani Lego, DLRSO Ojing Nangkar, O.P. Chugh (Engg), Varun Kr Lal, DGM (ARCH), Vishnu Ram PV, AD (OPS) DGCA, S.M.F. Rahman i/c RD (BACS), Wng-Cdr. A Jakhalu, T.P. Subbaiah and Sqdn-Ldr. Premjith (Dibrugarh) and L.K. Sharma (Jorhat) of IAF and sought supports from the central team to resolve all pending issues. Later he made a field visit with DGCA, AAI, BCAS and Indian Air Force officers.
During the discussion and field visit, DC In-charge Bani Lego asked the visiting team to start domestic flights immediately with the existing infrastructure with minimum facility up-gradation wherever feasible.
Group Captain (Rtd) Mohonto Panging opined that Pasighat ALG has full potentials to introduce Civil Terminal. Planning has been an integral part of the AAI and all departmental processes has to be undertaken immediately, be it airport feasibility studies, design of passenger terminals, car-parking facilities etc to fulfill the long pending demand of Pasighat.
Meanwhile, the official team of Airports Authority of India, Indian Air Force, Director General of Civil Aviation and Bureau of Aviation Security led by State Civil Aviation Director Repo Ronya visited Advance Landing Ground (ALG) at Aalo on Tuesday.
